Governance of the Institute:
The Institute is governed by the "Stiftung für Qualität und Wirtschaftlichkeit im Gesundheitswesen" (the Foundation for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care), which was established by the Gemeinsame Bundesausschuss (G-BA - the Federal Joint Committee for the Self-Administration of the Healthcare Services) for the express purpose of establishing and maintaining the Institute (see paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Foundation's constitution). The Foundation's constitution is available online (currently only in German: Satzung der Stiftung (URL: http://www.iqwig.de/ueber_uns.21.html)). The relevant legislation establishing the Foundation is also available online (currently only in German: Gesetzliche Grundlage des Institutes (URL: http://www.iqwig.de/ueber_uns.21.html)).
